The Scream

The Classical Ballet Studio of the Split Dance Theatre has been operating since 1985 (previously under the name Dance Theatre of the Music Youth of Split), and was founded by the recently deceased ballet pedagogue and choreographer Luciano Perić and ballet pedagogue Branka Ćića Trumbić. Over the years of the Ballet Studio's work, thousands of young dancers of all ages have gained the basics of ballet technique and developed a love for dance. The ensemble has participated nineteen times in the International Children's Festival in Šibenik, performed across all parts of Croatia and abroad, and notably won first place at the World Ballet and Folklore Festival in Turkey. The Classical Ballet Studio of the Split Dance Theatre is one of the few studios that teaches classical ballet in Split, where children are first introduced to ballet art. Here, they learn the fundamentals of classical and contemporary dance expression, creating the foundation for the development of future ballet artists.
