Vita Šimac (Split, 2007) is a fourth-year student at the Josip Hatze School of Music in Split, studying in the class of Professor Yuriy Kot. She began her musical education at the age of eight under Professor Helena Bojić at the same school. From the very beginning of her musical journey, she has participated in numerous national and international competitions, earning top awards, including those at the Jurica Murai Memorial, the Croatian Competition of Music and Dance Students, and the Concorso Musicale Internazionale Città di Palmanova.

At the international competition Daleki akordi, she won first prize in both 2018 and 2024 in Category V. In February 2024, she performed at the Ivo Tijardović Concert Hall with the Tijardović Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Hari Zlodre. She also performed as a soloist at the Croatian National Theatre Split during the Philharmonia of the Future concert, conducted by Pavle Zajcev, in May of last year. In March this year, she secured first place in Category V at the Sonus op. 9 competition, and in May she was awarded first prize at an international competition in Tivat.

Vita was named the top student of the Josip Hatze Music School and received the City of Split Award in May. She is also a recipient of the first prize at the 2019 national HDGPP competition in the piano duo category. In 2020, she won the Oskar znanja for her outstanding results and first prize at the same competition.

She has attended masterclasses with prominent pianists and educators, including Ruben Dalibaltayan, Andreas Frolich, Philippe Raskin, Leonel Morales, Katarina Krpan, Danijel Oto, Aleksandar Serdar, Konstantin Krasnitsky, and Petar Klasan, among others. In addition to frequent public performances at school concerts, she has participated in the Review of Young Pianists at the Croatian National Theatre in Varaždin, as well as in numerous concerts at the Ivo Tijardović Hall in Split.

She is a scholarship recipient of the City of Split and the winner of the Split-Dalmatia County Prefect's Award.
