On the surface, it is a humorous, seemingly everyday human story about identity swaps and the amusing misunderstandings that arise from them. At its core, however, it is a profound analysis of human relationships in a modern, alienated world and the human need for a "soulmate."
Although this drama does not aspire to tackle grand themes, it delves into a personal human fear—the fear of long-awaited happiness. Its reach is nonetheless significant. To overcome fear, give oneself a chance, and dare to take that crucial step toward happiness and fulfillment—these are treasures that many, constrained by fear, have let slip away.
From the Reviews:
Greta and Petar in "The Beret" seemed to face no ambiguities or burdens in the hinted possibility of love. They were Her and Him, authentic, curious like children, weary in their respective worlds but not without hope. This is why we are delighted that the drama program jury awarded this production the Judita Prize for the best artistic achievement. (Dunja Vusio, Vijenac)
"The Beret" offers a sense of calm and refinement, so rare today. (Jasmina Parić, Slobodna Dalmacija)
