Rijeka’s Cinderella Delights Both Young and Grown-Up Ballet Audiences!
The Split audience enjoyed a magical ballet evening on Thursday, May 22, when Cinderella, choreographed by Leo Mujić and performed by the Ballet of the Croatian National Theatre Ivan pl. Zajc from Rijeka graced the stage of the Croatian National Theatre in Split. The ensemble was met with prolonged applause, especially soloist Yurika Kimura, who captivated the audience in the title role.
Mujić adapted the fairy tale ballet to contemporary sensibilities while preserving its timeless charm. In his distinctive neoclassical style, he set the story in a Mediterranean setting, adding warmth and freshness. A performance for all ages, this rendition of one of the world’s most beloved ballets delighted young and adult ballet fans.
