New Vision for the Theatre Unveiled: Openness to the World, Strength of Mediterranean Temperament, and Faith in Art

The Croatian National Theatre Split (HNK Split) today formally presented its new Management, led by Acting General Manager Božo Župić, while simultaneously revealing the ambitious artistic program for the year 2026. Although the new team, formed on short notice, faced the challenge of establishing continuity and resolving accumulated issues, they presented the public with a comprehensive and dramatically thoughtful plan that strongly emphasizes a return to the classic, "iron repertoire," alongside a robust inclusion of young talent and an opening towards the audience.

“Three Sisters, Me”: An Intimate Testimony to the Acting Process by Boris Liješević

The Croatian National Theatre Split (HNK Split), as part of the K-HNK (Consortium of Croatian National Theatres) programme, will host the Croatian National Theatre Ivana pl. Zajca from Rijeka on Thursday, 18 December, at 7:30 PM, with the authorial project by director Boris Liješević, “Three Sisters, Me” (Tri sestre, ja). This production is not a classical interpretation of Chekhov's play, but rather offers a look "from behind" – directly into the very process of the actors' creation.
